Oh Fish!

Fish capture our imagination at the deepest of levels. They move gracefully in the wild and mysterious sea and live in hidden places. The zodiacal sign of Pisces rules feelings, dreams, magic and mystery. Mermaids are prevalent in legend as creatures of doom or signs of our oneness with the animal kingdom. Almost every religion looks to the fish as a symbol of something to be celebrated – fertility, prosperity, freedom, nourishment, mystical insights, intuition, the unconscious, that which is sacred. These photographs arose out of spontaneous interactions with koi. They celebrate fish, in all their beauty and movement.
